Portfolio
Most of my experience comes from building my own business from the ground up — LJ Branding. Before starting my studio, I had no background in website design or development. I taught myself everything from scratch: how to build and design a website, connect a domain, install essential security plugins, and set up and maintain a full WordPress site with WooCommerce.
My main portfolio piece is this website itself — a site I designed, built, and refined entirely on my own. Every skill I have has come from solving real problems, learning through doing, and working directly with small businesses to create designs that genuinely help them show up confidently online.
Below is a selection of my work, including website design, branding, social media graphics, and custom designs.
Digital Design Work











Here are some of my recent designs, created using a range of software including Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Lightroom, Firefly, Illustrator), Affinity Designer, Canva, Photo Collage App, and Coolors for developing colour palettes. I’m completely self‑taught in all of these tools, learning each one through real projects, experimentation, and a lot of curiosity. I still have plenty to learn, but I genuinely enjoy the process — and every new project helps me grow my skills even further.

Website Design/Development



As well as building my own website, I also created a full website for a client who is a baker: Cake So Love Leigh, https://cakesoloveleigh.com. She wanted a design that reflected her style: girly, welcoming, and professional. The site needed to be easy to use, showcase her bakes beautifully, and allow customers to contact her for a quote.
The setup included discussing and connecting her domain, installing essential plugins (themes, security, SEO, and caching), and building a clean layout that highlighted her products. We communicated regularly throughout the process, reviewing progress together and making sure the design matched her vision. We were both really happy with the final result, a website that feels personal to her brand and simple for customers to navigate.
Social Media Management





Aside from personal use, all of my social media management experience has come from building and growing my own business. Most of my customers have found me through social media — through sharing, organic reach, and paid advertising across Meta Ads, Google Ads, and Instagram Ads. I’ve learned how to track performance, analyse what works, and adjust my content strategy based on real results.
I’ve used tools such as Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, the Meta Ads app, CapCut, Instagram’s built‑in tools, and scheduling apps like Later to plan, organise, and optimise my content. All of these skills are completely self‑taught, developed through trial, error, and a genuine interest in understanding what helps a business grow online.
